The SolTech2 project, a collaboration between Brunel University London and Netune Atlantic Ltd, focuses on providing sustainable, affordable off-grid mobile solar cooling systems for the Nigerian agri-food market. Addressing the lack of reliable cooling in developing countries, the project optimizes design to reduce energy requirements and maximize off-grid operation. Building on prior research, it aims to commercialize innovative refrigeration technology. User feedback from a pilot system in Abuja helps refine the design and inform business models for commercialization.
